Here are a few things I've made and been part of along the way. The first thing I carved was for my mother when I was about 10 years old. She liked owls so I made one out of an apple wood log from our orchard. A little later I went on to  study traditional fine art sculpture, which led to competitions and commissions both public and private. I was one of the first people to use the Freeform Modelling System in the UK in 2000. This was a Haptic Digital 3D Modelling software designed for craft skilled artists. Through this I was able to work on a wide variety of projects from product development to restoring museum artefacts, integrating both digital and traditional production technologies. This was at National Museums Liverpool and later with Manchester Museum, I have conducted international award-winning research on innovative haptic interactive consoles with Manchester Museum, focusing on enhancing inclusive access to museum collections. 

I started Freeform Studios in 2001 where I worked as an artist and 3D designer offering services to designers, museums and entrepreneurs.  Moving in 2020 to Cornwall has led me to recent experiments in photography and painting. Assembling this website is part of that adjustment.
